Itinerary
| 1st day | Arrival in Lucerne by train from the Swiss border or the airport. Overnight in Lucerne. |
| 2nd day | Today you board the train to Arth-Goldau. From the station of Mt. Rigi-Railways you go further on with the cogwheel train up to Rigi Kulm (1.800 m/6.000ft). From the summit you can have a breath-taking 360 degrees panoramic view of the Alps, looking out over 13 lakes and across all central Switzerland as far as Germany and France. Descend from Mt. Rigi by cogwheel train to Rigi Kaltbad and further by aerial cable-car to Weggis (or continue by cogwheel train to Vitznau) from where you board the boat and enjoy a cruise back to Lucerne. Overnight in Lucerne. |
| 3rd day | After breakfast you board the train to travel through the wonderful Bernese Oberland to the Valais. Either via the Lötschberg base tunnel directly to Visp and further to Zermatt. Or by the Lötschberger - The new air conditioned train with big windows using the traditional scenic Lötschberg Line to Brig and continue your journey to Zermatt. Zermatt, at the foot of the majestic Matterhorn, is the perfect Alpine resort. Overnight in Zermatt. |
| 4th day | Excursion to the Matterhorn glacier paradise - Europe's highest mountain lift with the most fascinating and highest glacier palace in the world - at 3883 m/12'740 ft. Experience the mystical world below the perpetual ice and visit the highest viewing platform in Europe at the Matterhorn glacier paradise. Overnight in Zermatt. |
| 5th day | Return to Swiss border or airport or continue your stay in Switzerland at your own request. |
